“Murder In The Front Row: The San Francisco Bay Area Thrash Metal Story” is an uncensored, unvarnished look at the wild and crazy thrash scene of the 1980s. It’s also a MUST-see for anyone who ever loved to rock OUT. The rock doc features interviews with some of the most iconic names of the era and those who came after, telling the tale of how the scene was born.
That was Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett. We also get interviews with members of Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus, Death Angel, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies – the list goes on! And OH, the tales they tell!
There’s also animation and a variety of other visuals, but ultimately, this is history, recounted by the genre’s founders. Of course, if THIS had been a history class when I was in school, I’d have actually paid attention! Sorry Professor Hardwick! If only you’d had a Flying V guitar!
