Forbes has released its annual list of highest-paid actors and actresses, and 2019’s biggest is none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson! He made a whopping eighty-nine-point-four million pre-tax. That was about thirteen million ahead of number two Chris Hemsworth, and about twenty three million ahead of Robert Downey Jr. On the ladies’ side, Scarlett Johansson – aka Black Widow – took home fifty-six million, ahead of Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon. Nice work if you can get it!
Rumors have been flying for AGES that Denise Richards and her Real Housewives costar Brandi Glanville had an AFFAIR, and that Richards and her husband had an open marriage. Well, Richards has finally given a personal response to the reports, and it’s a resounding “NOT TRUE”. Replying to a fan on Instagram, she said the couple does “not have an open marriage”, and that she is “100% monogamous” with her husband. That’s actually a little disappointing… so I choose not to believe her!
SNL star Kenan Thompson has been tapped to host this year’s White House Correspondents Dinner! The annual dinner is intended to “celebrate the role of a free press in our democracy”, usually with some biting humor. Previous host, comedian and political commentator Hasan Minhaj, will also be there as a featured entertainer. And in case you’re wondering, it’s not yet known whether Donald Trump will attend – but he HAS skipped the past three years.
I’m surprised it hadn’t happened already, but Jack Black FINALLY got the PHOTOSHOP BATTLE treatment! The comic actor posted a pic of himself sporting a Guinness foam mustache to Instagram, and it didn’t take long for the battlers of Reddit to get to work. Soon, Black and his beery ‘stache were on the Distracted Boyfriend meme, turned into a bizarre Hagrid, and, maybe best of all, replacing Jack Nicholson at the end of The Shining. Nicely done, Redditors!
And finally, over twenty years after exploding onto the hip hop scene, Eminem is proving he’s STILL HOT! First, his surprise performance at the Oscars shot his discography back onto the charts. And now the official video for his 2013 song “Rap God” has become his THIRD to cross the BILLION-view milestone on YouTube!
