Welcome to Naked News, I’m Isabella Rossini, and I’m delighted to be joined today by our latest guest anchor, the gorgeous Charrdonnay Young!
Hi Isabela, and hi everyone, it’s great to be back!
So how was day 1 at Naked News? Well, we’ve got lots planned for you today so let’s get it started with some TV talk. Have you binge watched anything lately? What’s your favorite show right now? Well we’ve got lots of TV news to share with everyone, including some casting changes at Top Gear America and a sneak peek at season 10 of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM.
Here’s Eila with the stories, Inside The Box.
Top Gear is getting a little American… and quite possibly a little more funny. When ‘Top Gear America’ comes to the MotorTrend streaming service in the spring, it’ll be hosted by Rob Corddry, British journalist Jethro Bovingdon… and Dax Shepard! As Mr. Kristen Bell put it, “Cars are my full-time hobby. It’s the only reason I act: to acquire money to buy shit that you put gas in.” Well, that’s certainly the kind of enthusiasm that gets MY engine running!
Gal Gadot is America’s favorite Israeli, so who better to create an American version of one of Israel’s greatest crime dramas?! ‘Queens’ follows the women of a crime family who have to step up when all the men are killed by a rival syndicate. As of now, the lovely Miss Gadot is only on board as an executive producer… but what group of ladies wouldn’t benefit from adding WONDER WOMAN?!
If you think it’s long past time there was a new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, you’ll be happy to know Larry David feels the same way. He made that much very clear in the official teaser for his show’s tenth season. He seems prett-ay, prett-ay, prett-ay frustrated. Luckily, it’s going to be a very good new year. Curb Your Enthusiasm returns to HBO in January.
Mind you, not all your viewing options will be improving in 2020. It is now official: As of New Year’s Day, Friends will no longer be streaming on Netflix. We’ve known this was coming, but the updated “availability” section on the show’s landing page has confirmed it. That said, your Friends-free days won’t last forever. The iconic series will be available on HBO Max, which starts streaming in the spring.
Now let’s check out our Stream This pick of the week?! The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has been a critical darling since Day One, with Rachel Brosnahan particularly making a name for herself in the lead role! In the show’s third season, Midge has gone pro with her standup… but surprise surprise, she still has a lot to learn and there are still challenges to overcome! In its run thus far, this show has won SIXTEEN Emmys, including for acting, writing, and directing… and also those 1950s period costumes! So if you haven’t already, it’s time for you to see what the fuss is about. The third season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is now streaming on Amazon Prime. I’m Eila Adams, and that’s what’s happening, Inside the Box.
